Job Description

Location: Hybrid in Boston 

Overture Partners' client has an immediate need for a Data Architect. To secure an interview for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Must Haves:
  • Minimum of three years of design and implementation/conversion experience in one or more of the following disciplines:  large scale data conversion/migration from one application to another, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs) or database management.
  • Exposure to technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments in one or more projects of similar size and complexity
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing successful data conversion projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting highly regulated and sensitive data compliance standards. 
  • Knowledge of structured data, such as entities, classes, hierarchies, relationships, and metadata.
  • Knowledge of database management system (DBMS) physical implementation, including tables, joins and SQL querying.

What the Client Needs you to Do:

The Data Architect will be part of a team of team and product vendor and Program staff that will design and implement tasks necessary to migrate data from legacy systems to the new cloud solution.  The Data Architect will explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff and will exhibit advanced visualization skills as well as creative problem-solving. 

This role works at a high level in all phases of data architecture; designs databases for recovery, high availability, performance and maintenance. Monitors the standards, procedures, integrity and integration of data. Defines the overall warehouse architecture and standards. Analyzes data needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems. Develops technical, structural and organizational designs and specifications. Evaluates technology and products. Creates work plans for assigned projects. Serves as project lead for software products associated with data.

Educational Requirements:
 Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
