- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, with a focus on microservices architecture.
- Build and enhance responsive front-end components using Angular, React, or Vue.js to deliver intuitive user interfaces.
- Implement business logic, database schema design, and batch processes using Java Batch or Spring Batch.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS for scalability and performance.
- Optimize SQL Server databases, handling data feeds, complex table joins, and efficient queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and business analysts, to align backend services with front-end requirements.
- Proactively clarify requirements with business analysts and contribute to comprehensive technical documentation.
- Ensure system performance and reliability through AWS CloudWatch monitoring and logging solutions.
- Extensive expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot, with experience in building microservices.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including designing schemas, optimizing queries, and managing data feeds.
- Experience with batch processing frameworks like Java Batch or Spring Batch.
- Proficiency with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch) for deployment and infrastructure management.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and service integration to support front-end functionality.
- Proven experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js for developing dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with an emphasis on creating accessible and performant web applications.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex).
- Experience collaborating with UI/UX teams to translate designs into functional front-end components.
- Knowledge of A/B testing, Property & Casualty (P&C) domain, or other insurance-related domains is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline is highly valued.
- Candidates must be local to Central New Jersey to facilitate collaboration and occasional on-site work.
