 Project/Program Manager  Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of compliance projects mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) through 2027, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including product owners, onshore/offshore technical teams, and vendor partners, to assess workflows, define requirements, and implement changes.
  • Manage stakeholder meetings, create status reports, presentations, and dashboards, and provide updates to VP and C-level executives using tools like Jira.
  • Oversee project financials, resource allocation, schedules, and task assignments to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with business areas to review CMS mandates, assess workflow impacts, and develop detailed requirements for compliance updates.
  • Integrate with vendor partners using cloud-based systems, ensuring seamless coordination for API and EDI transaction-related projects.
  • Drive the transition to Agile methodologies, adapting project structures to support iterative delivery and flexibility.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, evolving into a leadership role to oversee the entire CMS compliance program.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and obstacles, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, mentoring team members, and promoting best practices in program management.
Required Skills and Qualifications Program Management (50%)
  • 5+ years of experience managing large, complex projects or programs, with a proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and high-visibility stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in project planning, financial management, and resource coordination using tools like Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, with flexibility to adapt to evolving project structures.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with executive presence for engaging VP/C-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, undefined environment, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
Compliance and Technical Knowledge (50%)
  • Experience with government mandates, preferably CMS compliance, or similar regulatory projects in healthcare, government, or finance sectors.
  • Understanding of API and EDI transactions, with the ability to collaborate with technical teams on integration and implementation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems and vendor coordination for compliance-related projects.
  • Knowledge of workflow assessment, requirement gathering, and collaboration with onshore/offshore teams to implement technical changes.
Additional Considerations
  • Experience managing CMS-related or government-mandated projects is highly valued.
  • Background in healthcare, particularly with CMS compliance, is a plus but not mandatory; strong candidates from government, tech, or finance sectors are welcome.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with technical projects involving APIs, EDI transactions, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Candidates must maintain Eastern Time Zone hours, with fully remote work permitted.
