Job Description
Overture Partners' client has an immediate need for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer. To secure an interview for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Must Haves:
- Translation of business questions and requirements into reports, views, and SQL queries
- Advanced experience in tunning T-SQL query performance, identifying the need and creation of SQL indexes
- Advanced hands-on experience with T-SQL, data warehouse concepts including dimensional modeling
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of DAX
- Hands on expertise with implementation of a MS Analyses Services (SSAS) Cube using the Tabular model and PowerBI data models is required
- Working knowledge in developing Azure Data Factory is a plus
- Expert knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 and strong T-SQL skills is required
- Strong discipline in following SQL coding styles which improves code readability and supportability
- Experience supporting a 24x7 production environment
- 8-10 years’ experience in data analysis and data warehousing, with significant specialization in one or more areas of the above-mentioned areas of technology
- Experience with legal financial data models is a plus
- 5 years of DAX scripting experience
Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all SQL Analysis Services (SSAS) tabular cube within the Firm. Serve as an advisor to PowerBI report developers, providing guidance on dimensional modeling and tabular design best practices.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent work experience
