Job Title:Snowflake Engineer 
Location: Woodbridge, NJ/Hybrid

Overture Partners’ client has an immediate need for a Snowflake Engineer To secure an interview, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Must-Have:
  • Snowflake Administration (Non-ETL Focus):
  • End-to-end responsibility for schema design, table setup, user access management, and performance tuning
  • Experience with configuration, warehouse scaling, optimization, backups, and monitoring performance metrics
  • Ability to analyze thresholds, address warehouse blocking, and troubleshoot query performance issues
Replication Tools (e.g., FiveTran or HVR):
  • Proven experience creating replication locations and channels 
  • Strong understanding of replication flow, agent monitoring, and latency diagnostics
Scripting & Querying:
  • Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL preferred) for building and debugging complex queries
  • Experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python) to connect databases, automate tasks, and analyze performance is a plus
Nice to Haves:
Relational Database Experience:
  • Please specify which RDBMS platforms you’ve worked with—this will help us align you with the right interview track
  • Oracle: User/schema setup, pipeline configuration
  • DB2 (On-Prem): Backup, reorg, runstats, and rebind processes
  • SQL Server: General usage and indexing strategies
Cloud Platform Exposure (AWS Preferred):
  • Experience managing Snowflake environments in AWS
  • Familiarity with services such as:
  • RDS, DMS, S3, Glue, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Redis
DevOps & Agile Practices:
  • Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience working in SDLC or Agile development environments
Soft Skills & Team Fit:
  • Proactive and solution-focused, with the ability to own problems and deliver outcomes
  • Strong documentation skills (this is a must-have)
  • Comfortable collaborating across data, security, and application teams
  • Capable of working independently across varied environments
  • Open to participating in on-call support and occasional off-hours deployments

What the Client Needs You to Do:

This is a hands-on Snowflake Engineer role will need experience using FiveTran or similar replication tools. This role is focused on Snowflake administration.
