We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and guide IT projects from conception to completion. This role involves managing project scopes, timelines, and budgets, while ensuring the highest quality of deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects; lead and guide the work of technical staff.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT project management, overseeing technology projects.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Highly proficient in conflict resolution, negotiation, and team building.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
