Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Anaplan Model Builder / Developer to design, enhance, and support enterprise planning and performance management solutions. This role focuses on building scalable Anaplan models that support incentive compensation, analytics, reporting, planning, and budgeting processes. Candidates with strong Anaplan expertise, financial acumen, and the ability to partner closely with business stakeholders will be prioritized for interview consideration.

Must Haves

• Extensive hands-on experience designing and building Anaplan models in enterprise environments

• Proven delivery of multiple Anaplan implementations, including incentive compensation or revenue-focused models

• Strong understanding of performance management processes such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient, scalable technical solutions

• Experience optimizing existing models for performance, usability, and automation

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams

What the Client Needs You to Do

In this role, you will partner with finance, analytics, and technology teams to deliver integrated Anaplan solutions that improve planning accuracy, automation, and user experience. You will be responsible for both new model development and the continuous improvement of existing models. Success requires a balance of technical expertise, business understanding, and the ability to challenge existing processes to deliver better outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective Anaplan solutions

• Design, develop, and implement Anaplan models, data structures, and dashboards

• Ensure new models and enhancements are built in an integrated, scalable, and optimized manner

• Maintain and optimize existing Anaplan models to improve performance, automation, and usability

• Capture and translate requirements for new functionality and process improvements

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance end-user experience

• Perform testing, validation, and debugging to ensure accuracy and optimal model performance

• Provide technical and application support for Anaplan users, resolving system-related issues

• Partner with finance, IT, and data teams to support system integration and data alignment

• Monitor model performance and proactively address scalability or usability concerns

• Stay current on Anaplan features, releases, and best practices

• Recommend enhancements that leverage new functionality to improve planning and reporting processes

• Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, model designs, and configuration standards

• Support knowledge transfer and ensure long-term maintainability of Anaplan solutions

• Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment

Additional Information

• This role supports enterprise incentive compensation, performance reporting, and planning initiatives

• Strong emphasis on user experience, model usability, and integrated solution design

• Ability to challenge requirements constructively and recommend better process designs is expected

• Anaplan certification is preferred but not required – onsite in NY 3 days a week

• Experience working in data-driven or highly matrixed organizations is beneficial
