Job Overview
A large enterprise data team is hiring a Cloud Engineer to advance its data modernization initiatives. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing cloud-based data platforms using AWS and Snowflake. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with an ability to collaborate across teams and ensure secure, efficient, and scalable data operations.
Must Haves
- 5+ years of experience with Snowflake or other cloud database platforms
- 3–5 years of hands-on AWS cloud data engineering
- Skilled in Informatica Cloud (IICS), GitHub, Tableau, or similar tools
- Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux scripting skills
- Knowledge of cloud security, encryption, and access controls
- Familiarity with HIPAA or similar data privacy standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
What the Client Needs You to Do
Support and enhance the organization’s data platform, modernizing infrastructure and optimizing performance. Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and governance teams to design and maintain secure, scalable, and efficient cloud data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support AWS and Snowflake environments
- Configure and maintain IICS, Tableau, and related data tools
- Manage access, permissions, and security policies
- Design and implement automation for data pipelines and workflows
- Monitor system performance and resolve issues proactively
- Document processes and establish best practices
