Job Overview
A talented CPQ Developer is needed urgently to take ownership of Configure-Price-Quote development within an Epicor Kinetic environment. This role will focus on building and supporting sophisticated configuration logic that connects product options, pricing, and manufacturing requirements. Candidates must bring hands-on Epicor Kinetic CPQ development experience, strong C#/.NET skills, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes to secure an interview.

Must Haves

  • Hands-on experience developing with Epicor Kinetic CPQ.
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining CPQ rules, procedures, tables, and configuration logic.
  • Development experience within the Epicor Kinetic environment beyond system administration or basic configuration.
  • Strong C#/.NET development capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of Methods of Manufacture (MOM), including bills of material, routings, and manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing configuration, product structures, and production processes.
  • Ability to translate complex product requirements into scalable configuration rules.
  • Experience working with Epicor tools such as BPMs, queries, user-defined fields, rulesets, and selection logic.

What the Client Needs You to Do
The successful candidate will become the internal technical owner for CPQ development, reducing dependence on external consulting resources and improving the speed of configuration changes. You will partner with business and manufacturing stakeholders to understand product requirements, translate them into effective CPQ logic, and ensure configurations accurately reflect real-world production constraints. The role requires someone who can both understand the business requirements and independently develop the technical solution within Epicor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance CPQ rules and configuration procedures within Epicor Kinetic.
  • Build configuration tables, selection logic, and rules that control product behavior and available options.
  • Design layered configuration structures for complex manufactured products, including dimensions, materials, colors, surfaces, and customization choices.
  • Establish relationships between product selections so applicable options are presented and assigned correctly based on prior selections.
  • Create and maintain logic using user-defined fields, BPMs, queries, rulesets, and related Epicor functionality.
  • Apply Methods of Manufacture knowledge to ensure CPQ configurations align with bills of material, routings, operations, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop custom code within the Epicor environment using C#/.NET where standard configuration functionality does not meet business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and refine configuration behavior to improve reliability and the end-user experience.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, business, and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical CPQ solutions.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the ERP and digital ordering environment as new products, rules, and business requirements are introduced.

Additional Information

  • Work Arrangement: Remote work is available, with a preference for a hybrid arrangement.
  • Initial On-Site Requirement: Candidates should be prepared to spend several weeks on-site during onboarding and knowledge transfer.
  • Ongoing On-Site Requirement: Quarterly on-site visits are expected following the initial onboarding period.
  • Role Focus: This is a hands-on development position. Candidates should be comfortable writing code and building technical solutions rather than focusing solely on Epicor administration.
  • Preferred Additional Experience: Web development or other programming experience is beneficial and may provide opportunities to contribute to broader technical initiatives.
  • Environment: The role supports an organization implementing and expanding its use of Epicor Kinetic across ERP, digital ordering, product configuration, business data, and related technology infrastructure.
