Job Overview
A large technology organization is seeking an IT Senior Project Manager to lead an Enterprise Data Warehouse modernization initiative. The role involves managing all phases of a major data migration from legacy SQL-based systems to a modern Informatica and Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate combines strong project management experience with a hands-on approach to cross-functional collaboration, planning, and execution.
Must Haves
- 3+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional IT projects
- Proven experience leading data warehouse or enterprise system implementations
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile project management principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office 365 tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead JAD sessions, requirements gathering, and stakeholder meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
What the Client Needs You to Do
You’ll oversee a large-scale enterprise data modernization program, coordinating internal teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver a new data warehouse solution. You’ll manage scope, budget, timelines, risks, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with project standards and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution for the Enterprise Data Warehouse project
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules
- Coordinate activities across business, technical, and vendor teams
- Facilitate requirements sessions, process mapping, and documentation
- Manage project reporting, risk assessments, and issue resolution
- Prepare status updates and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and quality standards
- Oversee testing, change management, and deployment readiness
- Serve as liaison between business and technical teams to align priorities
- Stay current on technology trends and apply best practices to improve delivery
