Job Overview

An experienced Full Stack Java Developer is sought to design and implement scalable, cloud-based systems supporting enterprise-level applications. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead development initiatives, mentor team members, and shape architecture decisions in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. Candidates should bring deep full-stack expertise and a passion for modern engineering practices.

Must Haves

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and secure software systems.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Expertise in building cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services, including SQS, SNS, S3, IAM, and KMS.
  • Solid understanding of observability practices and tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
  • Full-stack Java development background with frameworks such as Angular and Spring.
  • Familiarity with React Native is a plus.

What the Client Needs You to Do

The client needs a technical leader capable of driving architecture design, optimizing performance, and ensuring scalability across multiple products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure applications and play an integral role in guiding technical decisions and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop full-stack solutions using Java, Spring, and Angular frameworks.
  • Architect scalable software systems aligned with cloud-native principles.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Product, and QA teams to ensure smooth deployments and quality releases.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing code reviews, technical guidance, and career development support.
  • Integrate and optimize data storage solutions using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Implement observability standards to enhance system monitoring and performance insights.
  • Leverage AWS services to improve scalability, security, and automation across environments.
  • Participate in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and documentation efforts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering organization.

Additional Information

  • Hybrid schedule; 4 days per week on-site in the Boston area.
