A public-sector technology program is seeking experienced MDM Developers to support a large-scale Master Data Management environment serving critical healthcare and human services systems. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing integration services, ensuring operational stability, and supporting high-throughput data workflows. Candidates with strong backend development experience, troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work within complex enterprise systems will be prioritized.

Must Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, backend systems, or integration-focused roles
  • Hands-on experience working with APIs, service layers, and system integrations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments, including root cause analysis and remediation
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts
  • Experience with version control and structured development practices
  • Ability to work with sensitive, regulated data in compliance-driven environments (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to customized enterprise platforms

What the Client Needs You to Do
You will support the ongoing stability and enhancement of a shared-service MDM platform that enables data consistency and integration across multiple systems. This role requires hands-on development, issue resolution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data services. You will also help improve maintainability and reduce knowledge silos by documenting processes and supporting team scalability.

  • Maintain and improve system reliability through proactive support and enhancements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver incremental improvements aligned with operational needs
  • Strengthen team capacity by sharing knowledge and supporting sustainable engineering practices
  • Contribute to downstream data delivery and integration workflows

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain APIs, service components, and integration points within the MDM environment
  • Implement scoped updates to endpoints, payloads, and business rules
  • Troubleshoot production issues affecting jobs, interfaces, and data flows; perform root cause analysis
  • Support and maintain data structures used for downstream reporting and analytics
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Document technical changes, troubleshooting steps, and support procedures to improve maintainability
  • Participate in testing, deployment activities, defect resolution, and post-release validation
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize approved AI-assisted tools to support debugging, development, and documentation tasks
  • Assist with onboarding and operationalizing new capabilities introduced by internal or external teams
