Job Overview

We’re seeking a PeopleSoft Test Engineer to lead test automation within Campus Solutions.

Must Haves

  • Direct, recent experience creating and maintaining PTF scripts in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions

  • Strong functional knowledge of Financial Aid (FA) and Student Records (SR) processes

  • 3–5 years in functional, regression, and test automation for PeopleSoft applications

  • Proficiency with SQL and PeopleSoft Query for data setup and validation

  • Working knowledge of HP ALM (or similar) for test management and defect tracking

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and either Phire or Change Assistant for change/control processes

  • Experience connecting automated suites to Jenkins or Azure DevOps pipelines

  • Clear communicator with a track record of training or mentoring QA and functional teams

What the Client Needs You to Do

  • Establish durable automation coverage for core FA/SR scenarios and keep it current through upgrades.

  • Embed regression runs into deployment pipelines to flag issues early and reduce release risk.

  • Provide actionable reporting on execution status, defects, and performance trends for stakeholders.

  • Uplevel the team’s skills by coaching on PTF standards, reusable components, and maintenance best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, optimize, and parameterize PTF test assets using variables, reusable components, and batch execution.

  • Run automated regression cycles post-bundle, PUM image, or configuration changes to ensure system stability.

  • Design and execute performance checks using LoadNinja (or comparable tools) to validate peak-load behavior.

  • Maintain environment readiness: align PTF configurations, credentials, and test data across all test tiers.

  • Integrate test suites with Jenkins/Azure DevOps; configure triggers, artifacts, and result publishing.

  • Triage, log, and manage defects through HP ALM or ServiceNow; verify fixes and close with evidence.

  • Partner with functional analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to unblock test execution.

  • Produce concise dashboards and summaries highlighting pass/fail trends, defect leakage, and coverage.

  • Define standards for script versioning, naming, and reuse; reduce flaky tests through stabilization tactics.

  • Conduct hands-on workshops, playbacks, and documentation to scale automation practices across the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • PeopleSoft Campus Solutions: deep familiarity with FA and SR transaction flows, pages, and security.

  • Automation: expert-level PTF scripting, component interface usage, and scheduling/batch automation.

  • Testing Fundamentals: test design, data strategy, and risk-based regression selection.

  • Tools: SQL, PeopleSoft Query; HP ALM (or equivalent), ServiceNow; Phire or Change Assistant.

  • DevOps: working understanding of CI/CD concepts, branching, environments, and artifact management.

  • Communication: ability to translate results into clear recommendations for both technical and business audiences.

  • Training: history of mentoring QA/Functional peers on PTF setup, standards, and maintenance.

Additional Information

  • Work Arrangement: Remote-friendly; must be aligned to U.S. Eastern Time.

  • Schedule: Must be available 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern
