Job Overview
This role is ideal for an experienced QA Test Automation Engineer/SDET who enjoys building scalable automated solutions across UI, API, mobile, and performance testing. Must Haves
- 3–8 years of experience developing automated test plans, test cases, and end-to-end test strategies
- Strong proficiency in automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript, and SQL
- Proven experience with Selenium for UI automation
- Hands-on background in REST and SOAP testing with tools such as SoapUI or JMeter
- Experience building or enhancing mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso, or similar)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Maven, and artifact repositories
- Ability to design and maintain API, performance, and service-level test automation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
What the Client Needs You to Do
You will design, implement, and optimize automated testing solutions that support rapid, high-confidence deployments. The role includes contributing to UI, API, mobile, and performance validation efforts while partnering closely with engineering, product, and QA leadership. You will also drive best practices across automation standards, strengthen pipelines, and ensure applications meet functional, performance, and reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute structured test plans that identify defects, performance issues, and improvement opportunities
- Implement testing frameworks and methodologies that ensure consistency and high coverage across product lines
- Build and maintain UI automation suites using Selenium and related technologies
- Develop performance and load test scripts using JMeter, JUnit, Selenium Grid, or equivalent tools
- Build and maintain automation for API and web services across REST and SOAP interfaces
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support stable and continuous delivery cycles
- Generate and manage test data required for automated execution across environments
- Collaborate with developers to provide detailed feedback on functional behavior, usability considerations, and quality risks
- Support internal, user acceptance, and external testing activities when required
- Design and maintain mobile automation frameworks using Appium, Espresso, or other industry-standard tools
- Develop and execute automated tests for iOS and Android applications
- Monitor defect trends, validate resolutions, and contribute to process enhancements
