Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead multiple high-impact technology initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This role requires a proven leader who can drive projects from planning through execution while balancing scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. Must Haves
- Minimum of 5 years managing multiple large, complex IT projects simultaneously
- Proven experience overseeing full project lifecycle, including development, implementation, and budgeting
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level applications involving multiple system integrations
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience working within matrixed organizations and managing cross-functional resources
- Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications
What the Client Needs You to Do
In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for delivering complex IT initiatives on time and within scope. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, technical teams, and executive stakeholders to define project goals and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Success in this position requires proactive risk management, clear communication, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed project plans in collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams
- Define project scope, requirements, and success criteria through structured engagement with business partners
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
- Monitor progress against milestones, deliverables, and technical requirements to ensure timely completion
- Implement and maintain change management and scope control processes
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation in alignment with established standards
- Track, assess, and mitigate project risks while escalating critical issues to leadership as needed
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across technical and business units
- Oversee testing processes, including defect tracking, validation, and reporting
- Provide regular status updates, including risks and mitigation strategies, to senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, quality standards, and governance policies
- Support continuous improvement by staying informed on evolving customer needs and industry practices
- Mentor and support junior project management staff to strengthen team capabilities
- Coordinate across multiple concurrent initiatives while adjusting priorities as needed
Additional Information
- This is a hybrid role requiring a combination of remote work and periodic onsite presence as needed
- Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday during regular business hours
- The role operates within a structured enterprise project management environment with defined methodologies and governance practices
- Candidates should be comfortable working in highly regulated environments with strict documentation and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting public sector or health-related programs is considered beneficial but not required
