Senior Business Analyst

Job Overview

The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in driving high-impact technology initiatives by establishing analysis standards, shaping requirements, and improving enterprise business processes. This role partners closely with senior business and technology leaders to prioritize initiatives and ensure solutions maximize business value. Must Haves

  • Extensive experience in business analysis within technology-driven environments

What the Client Needs You to Do

This role is focused on ensuring technology solutions align tightly with business objectives while advancing enterprise analysis standards. You will act as a trusted advisor across initiatives, guiding teams from discovery through delivery. Success in this role requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, while continuously improving analysis practices and mentoring others across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across the full project lifecycle, from initiation through delivery and closeout

  • Conduct detailed workflow and process analysis to document current-state operations and design future-state improvements

  • Develop high-quality project artifacts, including requirements documentation, functional specifications, impact analyses, and workflow diagrams

  • Establish and maintain consistent analysis methodologies, tools, and standards across enterprise initiatives

  • Partner with business and technology leadership to support initiative prioritization and roadmap planning

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for complex, customer-facing and transactional systems

  • Collaborate with development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and infrastructure teams to support delivery planning and resource alignment

  • Ensure adherence to defined standards, promoting consistency, quality, and reduced rework across deliverables

  • Analyze metrics and performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in analysis processes

  • Mentor and guide analysts and technical team members in requirements elicitation, documentation, and best practices


Additional Information

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience

  • Significant experience supporting software development initiatives where technology is a primary driver

  • Extensive background performing business analysis within regulated or highly complex industries

  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems such as policy administration, billing, claims, financial platforms, and digital commerce solutions

  • Experience working with third-party data providers and system integrations

  • Hands-on exposure to web analytics platforms and digital performance measurement tools

  • Solid knowledge of web services, APIs, and data formats such as SQL, XML, JSON, and related testing tools

  • Experience applying structured analysis techniques including data modeling, process modeling, and state-based design

  • Familiarity with digital product development, including interactive and web-based applications

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable recommendations

  • Working knowledge of data management principles and relational databases preferred

  • Project management experience or professional certifications are a plus

  • Proficiency with standard productivity and diagramming tools, with an emphasis on workflow and wireframe creation

  • Industry-recognized certifications in business analysis or related disciplines are highly valued
