Job Overview

We are seeking a Systems Integrator / Developer for a temp-to-perm opportunity supporting large-scale, enterprise technology platforms in a higher-education–style environment. This role focuses on designing, integrating, and maintaining web-based systems with a strong emphasis on Identity and Access Management (IAM). Candidates who demonstrate technical depth, collaboration skills, and long-term growth potential will be considered for conversion to a permanent role.

This position is ideal for professionals at the associate, mid-level, or senior level who are comfortable working in hybrid environments and contributing to mission-critical systems.

Must Haves

  • Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE, including experience with enterprise application servers and web servers
  • Hands-on experience building RESTful web services, ideally using Spring Boot
  • Working knowledge of high-availability and high-performance system architectures
  • Solid experience with relational databases, advanced SQL, and stored procedures (Oracle preferred)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
  • Front-end development experience using JavaScript, React, and modern frameworks such as Next.js
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements

What the Client Needs You to Do

  • Support enterprise-scale systems that serve a diverse user population with high reliability requirements
  • Design and implement integrations between web applications, middleware, and core enterprise services
  • Partner closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver stable, scalable solutions
  • Ensure IAM-related platforms are secure, efficient, and aligned with long-term architectural standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, documentation, and modern development practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform system analysis, technical design, development, integration, and implementation for enterprise web-based platforms
  • Build and maintain integrations with core enterprise services, with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Develop custom applications and services using established software engineering standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams to onboard their systems into shared middleware and integration frameworks
  • Administer and support vendor-provided IAM-related applications, ensuring reliability and long-term sustainability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues across multiple environments
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to support quality and performance standards
  • Contribute to documentation, system diagrams, and operational runbooks
  • Support initiatives related to performance optimization, security hardening, and system scalability
  • Assist with transition planning and knowledge transfer as part of the temp-to-perm structure

Additional Information

  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week (strictly enforced)
  • Hybrid schedule with on-site presence required three days per week and remote work permitted two days per week
  • Role Type: Temporary with strong potential for permanent conversion based on performance and organizational need
  • Start & Duration: Initial contract period with opportunity for extension or full-time placement
